Preventive Maintenance and Check-Ups

Preventive Maintenance

One of the best ways to keep track of your saw's maintenance needs is to schedule a yearly Preventive Maintenance program.  The PM will check all the vital areas of the saw and automatic system (if equipped).  

 

S I Machine Services will go over your drive system, band wheels, guide arms, and cut guides.  SIMS will check fluids and replace applicable hydraulic and gear oils as well as replace consumable parts and filters.  Lubrication to key components will also be performed.



Check-Ups

On our more environmentally challenged equipment we recommend a Check-Up program be set up as well as a yearly PM.  Check-Ups are performed on a quarterly or monthly basis.  

 

Check-Ups differ from PMs in that hydraulic and gear oils are not replaced.  SIMS will go over your vital areas and advise you on how to proceed.
